And the dumbest iBOT comment award goes to...

The check-out guy at the grocery store last night.

Our conversation went like this:

Him: Does that go up and down stairs?

Me: Yes it does!

Him: Yeah, I remember seeing it on a show. That's
really great for designers because now they won't
have to worry about wheelchair access... like making
sure they have ramps and stuff.

So with his logic all wheelchairs would go up and down stairs... Now why the hell isn't that guy in charge of the insurance dept that decides iBOT's shouldn't be covered. He also needs to head of Research and Development to make a better stair mode so you can do it solo.. oh and all stair handrails would extent past the top step. He is obviously a genius with lots and lots of money to bring this all to fruition. And you met him.... wow!

Now don't be jealous H, you've probably met his greatness yourself. He works at that grocery store that I know you shop at frequently. I think he's a new guy because I've never seen him before. I don't think he'll last long.

I hope he winds up stuck moving lots and lots and lots of very heavy boxes from one cart up a few steps to put them on another cart. Maybe then he will realize that ramps benefit not just people in wheelchairs. A guy I knew that was building a dance hall complained about having to have a wheelchair ramp going into the hall. He could not imagine that a person in wheelchair might actually want to dance, or just attended dance, wedding, or other type of party being held at the dance hall. He was actually complaining to me while I was sitting in my wheelchair at a dance! He finally quit complaining when I pointed out that rolling heavy sound equipment up the ramp is much easier than trying to carry it upstairs.
