I don't know if this is of help, but CTS formed a company called Next Mobility, who repackaged and upgraded the iGlide, and now sell it under the name of the Tailwind.

There is some info here about it: http://www.apparelyzed.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10513

I wonder if they will take on the iBot as well?

Simon

Thanks Simon. I certainly hope someone will take on the iBOT.

I've been wondering if Next Mobility will pick up the iBot also!? I was seriously thinking of getting an iBot and planning to do so sometime in the next year or two. I had a great time meeting with Dean Kamen and talking to him about Nuero-prosthetic implants , controls, and implications with the one in my chest for my hand. I tested out the new 4000 model when it first came out and had been waiting for what I was told was a model coming in the year two that would have tilt-in-space capabilities.

I'm really wondering how you found a used one? I'm thinking that's going to be my only option now sought going to start looking.

Hi Mark,

I got mine from an online connection. I won't give details because the seller doesn't want me to. I do know that at least one has sold on eBay though. I believe it sold for around $12,000 - $15,000. I'm sure they'll come up on eBay every once in a while. It'll be interesting to see what they sell for now that they are no longer available. You might want to call IT as they might have some ideas. I would think they have a bunch of demos. I don't know if they can sell them, but it would be nice if they could instead of hundreds of them sitting in some warehouse not being used. Good luck! If I ever hear of one for sale, I will post about it here on this blog.
